Sheraton Opens Port Moresby Stanley Hotel and Suites

Sheraton Hotels and Resorts opened the Sheraton Port Moresby Stanley Hotel & Suites in Papua New Guinea, marking the brand's first property in the country. The opening represents the second property for parent company Marriott International within the nation. Located in Port Moresby's central business and government district, the hotel is connected to the Vision City Mega Mall and situated five minutes from Jacksons International Airport.

The property follows a transformative renovation and consists of 394 units, including 284 guest rooms, 15 suites, and 95 apartments. Facilities include an infinity pool, a full-service spa, a fitness center, and over 2,500 square meters of meeting space, which houses the largest ballroom in Papua New Guinea.

Marriott International executives stated the hotel is intended to serve as a central gathering hub for international travelers and the local community. Leadership noted that the project introduces one of the company's most global brands to the region and represents a significant milestone for the local hospitality sector.
