BlackRock Projects 30 Percent Asset Growth in Brazil

BlackRock expects its assets under management in Brazil to grow by 30 percent next year regardless of the upcoming general election outcome.

BlackRock expects to maintain asset growth of approximately 30 percent in Brazil next year, independent of the results of this month's general election. The firm projects that assets under management in the country will grow between 30 percent and 35 percent this year, following a 12 percent increase in 2025.

This expansion is primarily driven by Brazilian clients seeking international investments, which currently account for about 90 percent of the firm's managed assets in the region. Bruno Barino, the firm's chief executive for Brazil, noted that while BlackRock is a global leader, its current presence in the Brazilian market remains modest.

Barino stated that Brazil's capacity to attract long-term investment depends on the depth of fiscal reforms and competitiveness policies rather than whether President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva or Senator Flavio Bolsonaro wins the election.
