Cambodia RCEP Trade Volume Hits 24.4 Billion Dollars

The Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Cambodia reported that the country's trade volume with Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership member states reached 24.4 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of 2026. This represents a 24 percent year-on-year increase, with RCEP trade now accounting for 63.9 percent of Cambodia's total global trade volume of 38.2 billion dollars.

Detailed figures show that exports to RCEP members rose 11.8 percent to 5.63 billion dollars, while imports saw a steeper climb of 28 percent to 18.8 billion dollars. The kingdom's primary trading partners within the bloc are China, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, and Thailand.

Penn Sovicheat, spokesperson for the ministry, described the agreement as a "primary catalyst for Cambodia's long-term export expansion and a powerful incentive for foreign direct investment."
