FirstCash Increases Stock Repurchase Authorization to $350 Million
FirstCash Holdings increased its stock repurchase authorization by $200 million to return value to shareholders amid a perceived valuation disconnect.
The Board of Directors of FirstCash Holdings, Inc. increased the company's stock repurchase authorization by $200 million on October 28, 2026. This adjustment raises the total authorization under the current program to $350 million. As of the announcement, the company held $222 million in remaining authorization, having spent $128 million to repurchase 644,000 shares at an average price of $199.46 per share since July 2026.
CEO Rick Wessel stated the increase aims to return value to shareholders because of a disconnect between the company's current valuation and its progress toward long-term growth objectives. He noted that the company's balance sheet and record free cash flows allow it to fund both store growth and the expanded repurchase program.
FirstCash intends to continue expanding its core pawn operations globally through new store openings and accretive acquisitions. The company may execute the remaining repurchases through privately negotiated transactions, block trades, or open market transactions.
