Emcure Pharmaceuticals Reports 36.2 Percent Profit Growth in Q1FY27
Emcure Pharmaceuticals reported a 36.2 percent increase in quarterly net profit to Rs 292 crore and announced leadership changes including the appointment of Satish Mehta as chairman.
Emcure Pharmaceuticals reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 292 crore for the June quarter of FY27, marking a 36.2 percent increase year-on-year. Revenue from operations grew 22.8 percent to Rs 2,580 crore, with international business expanding by 34.2 percent to represent nearly 58 percent of total revenue. The company attributed these gains to new product launches, base business ramp-ups, and favorable currency movements.
During the quarter, the company completed its acquisition of the remaining 12.05 percent stake in Gennova Biopharmaceuticals, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. Emcure also signed a voluntary licensing agreement with MSD to produce a generic HIV prevention pill intended for 129 low- and lower-middle-income countries.
In a leadership transition, Satish Mehta will assume the role of chairman while continuing as CEO. He succeeds Berjis Desai, who is stepping down to join the National Commission for Minorities.
