Samsung Launches Galaxy Z Fold 8 with Passport Form Factor
Samsung Electronics released the Galaxy Z Fold 8 featuring a wider cover screen, Flex Titanium technology, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.
Samsung Electronics introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 8, a foldable smartphone featuring a wider, passport-style form factor. The new design aims to improve typing and navigation on the device's cover screen. Weighing 201 grams, the phone incorporates Flex Titanium technology to minimize the visibility of the display crease.
The device features an anti-reflective coating and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip and includes a 4,800mAh silicon-carbon battery with 45W fast charging support.
While the Z Fold 8 includes a 50MP main camera and an ultrawide lens, it does not have the 3x telephoto module available in the premium Z Fold 8 Ultra. The smartphone starts at £1,699 and is available in Graphite, Cream, Lavender, and Pistachio colors.
