David Crowley Leads Wisconsin Governor Race After Business Endorsements

Democratic candidate David Crowley holds a 7-point lead over Republican Tom Tiffany following endorsements from over 50 business leaders over election integrity pledges.

David Crowley holds a 7-percentage-point lead over Republican Tom Tiffany in the race for Wisconsin governor, according to the final Marquette University Law School poll before the November 3 election. The poll, conducted between October 14 and 22, shows 51% of likely voters support Crowley compared to 44% for Tiffany, marking Crowley's largest lead since polling began between the two candidates.

Crowley's momentum follows an endorsement from the Wisconsin Business Leaders for Democracy, a coalition of 53 business leaders. The group backed the Democratic nominee after Tom Tiffany refused to sign a pledge to reject political violence, protect voting rights, and uphold certified election results. While Crowley signed the commitment, Tiffany did not.

In response to the refusal, the Leadership Now PAC launched a $75,000 digital advertising campaign on Meta and YouTube targeting moderate voters and business leaders. The political tension arrives as local clerks receive training on handling armed federal agents at polling places and state authorities issue warnings against voter intimidation.
