The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. to Acquire Neos Investments for $2.25 Billion

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. will acquire ETF provider Neos Investments for up to $2.25 billion to expand its active asset management offerings.

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. will acquire exchange-traded funds provider Neos Investments in a deal valued at up to $2.25 billion. The acquisition aims to strengthen the investment bank's asset management presence and meet rising institutional demand for systematic options-based income funds used to hedge portfolios against market volatility.

Neos Investments managed $30 billion in assets across 19 funds as of June 30. Once the transaction closes in the first quarter of 2027, the active ETF assets of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. are expected to increase to $80 billion.

This acquisition follows the bank's buyout of Innovator Capital earlier this year. Together, these moves form part of a broader strategy to diversify the firm's holdings within the actively managed ETF segment.
