Rise Centered Reaches $1 Million in Sunrise Clock Sales
Emily Byrne grew Rise Centered from a $200,000 Kickstarter campaign to nearly $1 million in cumulative sales through strategic marketing and product development.
Emily Byrne grew her company, Rise Centered, to nearly $1 million in cumulative sales following a successful 2023 Kickstarter campaign for a natural-material sunrise alarm clock. To secure the initial launch, Byrne used the coaching platform Launchboom, investing $7,000 in the program and $35,000 in Instagram advertisements to build a pre-launch email list of 17,000 potential customers.
The Kickstarter campaign raised nearly $200,000 from approximately 1,500 backers, providing a proof of concept and critical customer feedback. However, the transition to production involved three years of development and manufacturing in China, which led to supply chain delays and high international shipping costs. These complications resulted in backers receiving their products a year later than expected.
Rise Centered transitioned to a direct-to-consumer model in late 2024. The company currently limits its shipping operations to the United States and Canada.
