Bridgewater Associates Funds Post Double-Digit Gains in 2026
Bridgewater Associates reported an 18.4% gain for its Pure Alpha fund and a 16.4% gain for its AIA Macro fund through September 2026.
Bridgewater Associates reported strong performance for its primary investment vehicles in the first nine months of 2026, with its flagship Pure Alpha macro fund achieving an 18.4% gain. The firm's AI-focused AIA Macro fund also delivered a 16.4% gain during the same period.
These results follow a strategic overhaul led by CEO Nir Bar Dea, who maximized returns by restricting new inflows into Pure Alpha and returning assets to clients. Under managing chief investment officer Greg Jensen, the firm has expanded its machine learning capabilities and the Artificial Investor team.
The performance comes amid a broader leadership transition at the firm, which manages approximately $102 billion in assets. Founder Ray Dalio sold his remaining stake and exited the board last year, while Bob Prince was appointed chair of the board of directors earlier this year.
