In California, the Secretary of State of California is offering conditional voter registration from October 20 through November 3. Eligible individuals can register and cast provisional ballots at polling places, vote centers, or county elections offices. For those already registered, ballots will be mailed starting October 5 and must be postmarked or delivered to a drop-off location by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
North Carolina has set its primary voter registration deadline for Friday, October 9, at 5 p.m. Eligible voters may register in person at local county boards of elections or online via the state DMV website if they hold a valid driver's license or identification card. Those who miss the October 9 deadline can still register during the early voting period from October 15 to October 31, provided they present a valid photo ID and proof of address at a county polling site.
