Israel Strikes Hezbollah in Lebanon and Kills Hamas Finance Chiefs

The Israel Defense Forces conducted strikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanon and killed two senior Hamas financial officers in the Gaza Strip.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) executed a series of coordinated operations across Lebanon and the Gaza Strip between June 9 and June 11, 2026. In southern Lebanon, the IDF launched strikes against six Hezbollah infrastructure sites around Tyre, including a drone launch facility. These operations followed warnings that prompted thousands of civilians to evacuate, though Lebanese officials reported at least eight deaths and 35 injuries in a residential neighborhood. Simultaneously, the IDF neutralized an armed militant who infiltrated the Ramim Ridge area from Lebanon, triggering the Night Knight B protocol.

In the Gaza Strip, the IDF and Shin Bet announced they killed Hamas chief financial officer Khader Al-Jamasi and his deputy, Mohammed Al-Harazin. The Israeli military stated the pair managed a network of money exchangers that transferred tens of millions of dollars to fund Hamas military operations and terrorist salaries.

Military activities in Lebanon have evolved into a high-tech conflict of attrition. The IDF is employing psychological warfare via drones broadcasting distress sounds to lure civilians into the open, while Hezbollah uses drones to obstruct Israeli ground maneuvers. The Israeli Air Force reports a tactical advantage, claiming to kill 30 to 70 militants daily by targeting the drone value chain and operators.
