Cisco President Jeetu Patel warned that the rapid maturation of AI models and agents creates material security risks for the market. Patel compared AI agents to teenagers, noting that while they are highly intelligent, they often exhibit poor judgment and lack a fear of consequences.

Patel endorsed a proposal by Elon Musk to establish a system of mutual accountability where AI models from different developers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI, check each other's work. He further called for a globally coordinated effort, specifically including China, to manage existential risks while ensuring the United States maintains its economic prosperity and technical superiority.
