Nancy Kissinger, a foreign policy specialist and widow of former U.S. Secretary of State Henry A. Kissinger, died Thursday at her home in South Kent, Connecticut, at the age of 92.
Though she never held an official diplomatic title, she was a constant companion to her husband during his high-profile diplomatic missions in the 1970s. Her visibility at international summits and state functions in the Soviet Union, India, and the Middle East made her a globally recognized figure. In 2009, she provided testimony in a New York criminal case regarding the estate of philanthropist Brooke Astor. She is survived by two stepchildren and five step-grandchildren.
