Azerbaijan and IE University Establish AI Observatory

The Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and IE University signed a framework cooperation agreement to establish an Artificial Intelligence Observatory. Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli announced the initiative during the opening of IE University's Leadership and Innovation Center.

The Observatory will integrate government institutions, business representatives, and academia to conduct applied research on productivity, competitiveness, and economic diversification. By utilizing international comparisons and global data, the project aims to translate theoretical knowledge into practical policy solutions.

Bashirli stated that the goal is to link international experience with national economic priorities to transform investments in human capital into concrete economic results. The partnership intends to strengthen the innovation potential and overall economic competitiveness of Azerbaijan.
