Google LLC Launches Gemini 3.7 Flash with Price Cuts
Google LLC released the Gemini 3.7 Flash AI model with enhanced coding capabilities, lower pricing, and integration into Google Search and Gemini Spark.
Google LLC released the Gemini 3.7 Flash artificial intelligence model on August 14, 2026, just three weeks after the launch of Gemini 3.6 Flash. The new model is optimized for software engineering, web development, and knowledge-intensive tasks in fields such as law, finance, and medicine. It features improved accuracy in debugging and multi-step agentic workflows, though some reports indicate a slight regression in chart-comprehension performance.
To attract developers from rivals OpenAI and Anthropic, the company introduced a 50% price reduction, setting introductory rates at $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens through the end of 2026. Google LLC also integrated the model into Gemini Spark, its 24/7 personal AI agent, and added it as a selectable option for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers within the AI Mode of Google Search.
Alongside the model launch, Google LLC debuted Sheets canvas, a feature allowing users to transform spreadsheet data into interactive dashboards using natural language. The company also implemented updated safety protocols to prevent the model's use in malicious hacking or the creation of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear weapons.
Despite the rapid iteration of the Flash series, CEO Sundar Pichai has declined to provide a timeline for the release of the more powerful Gemini 3.5 Pro model. These ongoing delays have created investor uncertainty regarding the company's ability to compete with other advanced AI developers.
