Carlyle Group Prepares $400 Million IPO for Highway Roop
Carlyle Group Inc. is preparing an initial public offering for its India-based auto-parts platform Highway Roop Precision Technologies, targeting a raise of up to $400 million.
The Carlyle Group Inc. has begun preparations for an initial public offering of Highway Roop Precision Technologies, its auto-parts platform based in India. The potential share sale is planned for the first half of 2027 and could raise up to $400 million through a combination of primary and secondary shares.
Carlyle formed Highway Roop Precision Technologies early last year by acquiring controlling stakes in Highway Industries Ltd. and Roop Automotives Ltd. To manage the offering, the private equity firm is working with Kotak Mahindra Capital Co., JM Financial Ltd., Goldman Sachs Group Inc., and Nomura Holdings Inc., though final valuation and timing remain subject to market conditions.
This move is part of a broader strategy by Carlyle to list other Indian portfolio companies, including its health-care revenue cycle management business, Knack RCM.
