Omron, a Japanese manufacturer, announced the acquisition of US-based industrial PC firm Onlogic and its parent company, Interlogic, for $675 million. The company intends to merge Onlogic's industrial PC development and manufacturing capabilities with its own high-precision control technology to build physical artificial intelligence platforms.
This acquisition aims to expand Omron's customer base in the United States and accelerate the deployment of physical AI services within its industrial automation business. Under the terms of the agreement, Interlogic will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Omron.
Onlogic will operate as an independent business and will maintain its existing brand and management team following the transaction.
