CVS Health Raises 2026 Guidance After Strong Second Quarter

CVS Health raised its 2026 profit and revenue forecasts after second-quarter results exceeded Wall Street estimates across all business segments.

CVS Health raised its full-year 2026 financial guidance after reporting second-quarter earnings and revenue that outperformed Wall Street estimates. The company now projects adjusted profit between $7.90 and $8.10 per share and total revenue of at least $414 billion.

Growth occurred across the pharmacy, health services, and insurance segments. Aetna, the company's insurance unit, showed a recovery with its medical benefit ratio dropping to 87.4%. This improvement followed a turnaround strategy that included store closures and $2 billion in cost reductions, alongside strength in government plans.

To expand its service offerings, CVS Health announced a partnership with Eli Lilly and Company. Starting in the fourth quarter, the company will use its mobile app to provide the weight loss pill Foundayo and the obesity injection Zepbound.
