Congress Leaders Protest Rajasthan School Entry Restrictions
Tika Ram Jully and Congress leaders protested a Rajasthan Education Department directive banning unauthorized entry and photography in government schools.
Rajasthan Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully and other Indian National Congress leaders staged a demonstration Thursday at the Anandilal Poddar School for the Deaf and Mute in Jaipur. The protest targeted a new Rajasthan State Education Department directive that prohibits unauthorized entry and bans photography and videography inside government schools without prior permission.
Police blocked the Congress leaders from entering the school grounds to enforce the new regulations. The opposition argues that these restrictions unfairly hinder public oversight and prevent elected representatives from inspecting state-run educational facilities.
The Rajasthan State Education Department maintains that the restrictions are necessary to protect school environments and ensure that all visits are officially authorized.
