SanDisk Bullish AI Outlook Boosts Asian Memory Chip Stocks

SanDisk Corp. projected strong revenue growth through 2030, triggering share price increases for memory chip makers across Tokyo, Seoul, and Taiwan.

Asian memory-chip stocks rose following a bullish long-term outlook from SanDisk Corp., which increased investor confidence in the artificial intelligence boom. During an investor day presentation, the company projected revenue growth in the mid-to-high teens between 2028 and 2030, attributing the forecast to long-term pricing agreements and the acceleration of storage innovation driven by AI.

SanDisk also announced plans to return 100% of its excess cash to shareholders. This combination of growth projections and capital return triggered gains for several industry players. Partner Kioxia Holdings Corp. saw shares climb as much as 8.7% in Tokyo, while Tokyo Electron Limited gained 7.8%. In Seoul, SK Hynix Inc. shares rose 6.5%, and Nanya Technology Corp. shares climbed as much as 5.5% in Taiwan.

The positive market sentiment follows a recovery from a selloff in July. Investors are increasingly viewing high-bandwidth flash as a critical solution for AI storage requirements, fueling the current sector optimism.
