Honeywell Technologies Launches Forge Cognition AI Building Platform

Honeywell Technologies launched Forge Cognition, an AI platform designed to manage complex building systems including power, security, heating, and cooling. Developed in collaboration with Nvidia and Dell, the system uses AI agents and digital twins to optimize operations. The platform is the first major product released since the company spun off its aerospace and advanced-materials businesses.

Testing at Nvidia's Voyager headquarters showed the platform could reduce false alarms by up to 90% and identify energy efficiency gains of nearly 10%. While the software is capable of fully autonomous operation, leadership has disabled this mode for the next two to three years to ensure human operators maintain control over the systems.

Following the initial tests, the company is expanding pilots to 12 industry sites, including the Fairmont Hotel in Dubai, NEX Mall in Singapore, and a plant in Nigeria. Additional pilots are underway at Honeywell campuses in Bangalore and Texas.
