Sridhar Vembu Urges Indian Tech Professionals to Leave US
Zoho co-founder Sridhar Vembu called on Indian professionals in the United States to return home to strengthen India's domestic technology ecosystem.
Sridhar Vembu, co-founder of Zoho Corporation Private Limited, renewed his appeal for Indian professionals living in the United States to return to India. In a post on X, Vembu argued that while Indians have contributed significantly to American technological prowess, many now face uncertainty regarding their immigration status and future in the U.S.
Vembu urged these experts to bring their international experience and technical skills back to India to create employment, mentor new talent, and strengthen the domestic technology ecosystem. This call is part of a recurring effort since 2025, during which Vembu has specifically addressed H-1B visa holders and those struggling with Green Card applications.
He framed the transition as an opportunity to build a future based on national growth and self-respect, describing the current challenges as the birth pains of a bold new future.
