GMR Aero Technic and StandardAero Partner for Engine Support

GMR Aero Technic and StandardAero have signed an agreement to establish a Hyderabad-based authorized service center for on-wing engine support in the Asia-Pacific region. The partnership aims to reduce aircraft downtime and improve fleet availability by providing specialized maintenance services closer to the bases of operators.

Technical services provided under the agreement include engine and module replacements, borescope inspections, gearbox changes, and Electronic Control Unit software upgrades. The collaboration is designed to support India's regional connectivity objectives and position the country as a leading hub for aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services.

Ashok Gopinath, President and accountable manager of GMR Aero Technic, stated that the goal is to create a responsive support network that delivers greater value to airlines. Rebecca Lane, Senior Vice-President of Global Sales at StandardAero, noted that India represents one of the fastest-growing commercial aviation markets.
