Monty Vogel Endorses Senator Susan Collins for Reelection

Monty Vogel, a political moderate from Standish, announced his support for the reelection of Senator Susan Collins in Maine's November 2026 election. Vogel based his endorsement on a personal experience from 2007 after his daughter, a nurse, died in an accident during a volunteer medical mission in the Dominican Republic.

Vogel credited Collins with making the repatriation of his daughter's body a priority. He stated that the senator resolved bureaucratic roadblocks in a matter of days, a process he believed would have otherwise taken weeks or months. Vogel contrasted the work ethic and compassion demonstrated by Collins with the potential Democratic nominee for the seat.
