MongoDB Seeks New CEO and Raises Growth Projections
MongoDB is searching for a permanent CEO while raising its long-term growth projections to over 20% following the departure of its previous leader to Meta.
The database company MongoDB Inc. is seeking a new permanent chief executive after its previous leader, CJ, departed to join Meta Platforms Incorporated following a lucrative financial offer. Interim CEO Ittycheria stated the company is not in a rush to find a successor and will prioritize the right fit for the business.
During a recent investor day, MongoDB reaffirmed its financial guidance and raised its long-term growth projection for the next two years from the high teens to over 20%. The company committed to double-digit growth for its non-Atlas business and highlighted strong profitability and cash flow.
To support AI-driven workloads, the company announced Atlas 9.0 and Atlas Infinite, focusing on elasticity and scale. Ittycheria noted a shift in customer behavior toward private clouds and on-premises infrastructure, attributing the trend to concerns over intellectual property, data residency, and cost.
