Apple Removes Waitlist for Siri AI Beta Access
Apple Inc. has eliminated the waitlist for its generative AI-powered Siri AI, allowing eligible users to download the beta feature automatically.
Apple Inc. removed the waitlist for its generative AI-powered virtual assistant, Siri AI, enabling eligible users to download the beta feature automatically upon opting in. The company previously required users to wait in queues ranging from several hours to a few days, but now states that waitlists will only be used during periods of high demand.
Siri AI is available on iOS 27 and other OS 27 versions for Apple Intelligence-capable devices, including the iPhone 15 Pro or later, as well as specific Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, and Vision Pro models. The assistant utilizes onscreen awareness and maintains context across the Apple ecosystem to perform tasks.
CEO John Ternus described the tool as being built on a modern, orchestrator-driven architecture designed for future expansion. Despite the wider rollout, the feature remains unavailable in mainland China and is not available for iOS, iPadOS, or WatchOS within the European Union.
