Robinhood Launches Zero-Fee Crypto Trading in United Kingdom

Robinhood Markets, Inc. is launching zero-fee cryptocurrency trading for eligible customers in the United Kingdom through an all-in-one investment application. The platform provides access to more than 50 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, and integrates these assets alongside equities, options, futures, and stocks and shares ISAs.

To assist investors, the company is introducing Robinhood Cortex Digests for Crypto, a generative AI-powered widget that analyzes market data and breaking news to explain price movements in plain English. Additionally, the company is opening the Robinhood Chain, a layer 2 blockchain built on the Arbitrum platform, to developers based in the UK.

The rollout begins this week. The company is positioning its offering as a transparent, low-cost alternative to existing UK platforms that it claims often rely on opaque pricing structures and wide spreads that can erode customer returns.
