Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Inspects New Delhi Rally Preparations
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra inspected preparations at Ramlila Maidan for the INDIA bloc's Vote Bachao Maha Rally scheduled for November 1 to protest central governance.
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra inspected preparations on October 29 at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi for the INDIA bloc's Vote Bachao Maha Rally. Scheduled for November 1, 2026, the event aims to protest electoral roll revisions, the state of democratic institutions, and central governance.
Supporters including Jharkhand Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey and CPI(M) leader Hannan Mollah emphasized the mobilization of tribal communities, women, workers, and students for the event. The coalition intends to use the rally to challenge the current administration's governance and electoral practices.
Hannan Mollah alleged that the government initially granted permission for the rally but later attempted to obstruct it. Mollah claimed the government feared the potential crowd size and the force of the demands, dismissing official assertions that the gathering would disrupt local business activity.
