Botswana Stock Exchange Joins Abu Dhabi Tabadul Trading Hub

The Botswana Stock Exchange joined the Tabadul hub as the first African member to enable cross-border trading between Middle Eastern and African markets.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) signed an agreement on July 10 in Abu Dhabi to integrate the BSE into the Tabadul hub. This partnership establishes a direct link between Middle Eastern and African securities markets, allowing investors to trade instruments via local brokerages.

The BSE is the 11th member of the cross-border trading and market connectivity platform and the first African exchange to join the network. The agreement was finalized during a ceremony attended by BSE Chairperson Neo Mooki and CEO Aobakwe Aupa Monyatsi.

Launched in 2022 by ADX and the Bahrain Bourse, Tabadul currently connects markets with more than 11 million registered investors and a combined market capitalization exceeding $1 trillion.
