Ooredoo Group Launches Zankore AI Platform in Indonesia

Ooredoo Group has unveiled Zankore, Indonesia's first dedicated AI compute and neocloud platform, committing $800 million to develop the infrastructure.

Ooredoo Group has partnered with Nvidia, Nokia, and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison to launch Zankore, the first dedicated AI compute and neocloud platform in Indonesia. As a founding shareholder with a 49% stake, Ooredoo Group is committing $800 million over the next five years to develop the project, with a goal of contracting 1 gigawatt of AI capacity within three years.

The platform integrates Nvidia supercomputing technology and Nokia networking expertise to deliver GPU-as-a-Service. Zankore has already secured customers for 200 MW of capacity scheduled for the first half of 2027. This initial phase is projected to generate $13 billion in revenue and $9 billion in cumulative Ebitda over a five to six year period.

This initiative supports Ooredoo's strategic transition from a traditional telecommunications company to a digital infrastructure provider. By targeting the high-demand AI and data center markets in Southeast Asia, the company aims to address a regional environment where demand for compute power is significantly outstripping supply.
