Google Launches Fitbit Edge Fitness Tracker for 180 Dollars

Google released the Fitbit Edge, a fitness tracker priced at 180 dollars designed to occupy the middle ground between a full smartwatch and a purpose-built fitness tracker. The hardware serves as a primary vehicle for the Google Health app, which the company has made available to all users regardless of their device ownership.

Initial testing of the Fitbit Edge indicates some user experience quirks. The company may need to issue future firmware updates to resolve these technical issues as the device enters the market.
