AMD and HUMAIN Launch AI Infrastructure in Saudi Arabia

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Cisco, and HUMAIN launched a joint AI infrastructure in Saudi Arabia on September 1, 2026. The system utilizes AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs and EPYC processors paired with Cisco Silicon One-based networking to provide computing power for training and running AI models.

The deployment is part of a broader partnership established in May 2025 to build AI computing centers across Saudi Arabia and the United States. This includes a landmark investment of up to $10 billion between AMD and HUMAIN to deploy 500 megawatts of computing capacity over five years. The partners aim to expand this by an additional 250 megawatts using Instinct MI400 series chips starting in 2027, with a long-term goal of reaching 1 gigawatt of total capacity by 2030.

As part of the rollout, HUMAIN and AMD introduced an AI in a Box turnkey solution. This product is designed to provide Saudi enterprises in the financial services and oil and gas sectors with accessible AI computing for entry-level use cases without the need for hyperscale infrastructure. HUMAIN, which is owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, manages the delivery of the data centers, power systems, and fiber interconnects for the venture.
