Iran Notes Shift in US Tone After Vance Letter
Mohsen Rezaei says the United States has changed its tone after Vice President JD Vance sent a letter seeking to revive negotiations.
The head of Iran's supreme national security council, Mohsen Rezaei, announced Saturday that the tone of the United States has "completely changed" following a letter from U.S. Vice President JD Vance. Rezaei described the outreach as a "good sign" and an indication that Iran has "consolidated its victory," though he noted that he has not yet responded to the communication.
This diplomatic effort to revive negotiations occurs while the United States and Israel continue to threaten fresh strikes. Indirect mediation via Qatar remains ongoing, but Iranian officials stated on Saturday that they have no current plans to meet with U.S. officials.
