Samsung Leaks Reveal Galaxy Watch 9 and Ultra 2 Specs
Samsung Electronics is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2 on July 22 featuring upgraded batteries and Snapdragon processors.
Leaked promotional images and renders published by Evan Blass have revealed the specifications for the upcoming Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, 2026. Samsung Electronics has not yet officially confirmed these details, but the leaks suggest a significant hardware overhaul across the lineup.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 reportedly features a titanium frame that is 12% thinner than its predecessor, a 5,000-nit peak brightness OLED display, and an 800mAh battery. This battery upgrade, utilizing silicon-carbon technology, could extend operational life from 48 to 60 hours. The device also gains an IP69K rating, EN13319 certification, and a 10 ATM durability rating, potentially making it suitable for recreational scuba and freediving.
The standard Galaxy Watch 9 will introduce a Vitals dial for health monitoring, AI-powered sleep apnea detection, and a new running coach. The 40mm model reportedly receives a battery increase to 390mAh, a 20% jump over the previous version, while the 44mm model remains at 445mAh. Both the Ultra 2 and Watch 9 are expected to utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite processor to improve efficiency, performance, and AI capabilities. The Ultra 2 is anticipated to retail for approximately 749 euros in Europe.
