Delta Flight from New York Evacuated After Bomb Threat
Delta Air Lines passengers were evacuated at Ben Gurion Airport following an anonymous bomb threat that investigators later determined was a false alarm.
A Delta Air Lines flight traveling from New York's JFK Airport to Tel Aviv was evacuated Tuesday morning following an anonymous bomb threat. The threat claimed an explosive device was on board the Airbus A330.
Upon landing at Ben Gurion Airport around 8:30 a.m. local time, security personnel rushed passengers to the terminal. The aircraft was moved to an isolated area where investigators conducted extensive searches. Security teams found no suspicious objects during the inspection.
The Israel Airports Authority confirmed the threat was a false alarm. The agency stated that "the incident has ended with no unusual findings" and that operations have returned to normal.
