Israel Kills Hamas Commanders and Financial Operatives in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces conducted a series of airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Friday, targeting Hamas military commanders and financial operatives. The operations killed Ibrahim Fawzi Ismail Mohsen, a Nukhba platoon commander in Nuseirat, and Mohammed Kamel Suleiman Mohsen in Khan Yunis. The military stated these individuals were targeted for attacking Israeli soldiers and civilians and attempting to restore Hamas military capabilities in violation of a ceasefire.

Additional strikes in Gaza City eliminated Hassan Mahmoud Siam, Adham Sabhi Salim Ziara, and Mahmoud Abd al-Fattah Awad, a commander who previously held seven Israeli hostages. In Deir al-Balah, the military struck Hamas commander Jabr Moqbel.

Collaborating with the Israel Security Agency, the military also eliminated 16 key Hamas financial operatives, including Ibrahim Abu Shamala and Mohammed Abu Alwan. This operation targeted a funding network involving money changers in Gaza and Türkiye that managed over $1 billion. The Israel Defense Forces stated the terrorists were eliminated to remove the threat they posed.
