Pipistrel Debuts Voyager Aircraft with Epic Flight Academy Order

Pipistrel, a Textron Inc. company, unveiled the Voyager training aircraft at EAA AirVenture 2026 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The two-seat aircraft is designed to comply with anticipated Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification (MOSAIC) regulations and is scheduled to enter service in 2027. The Voyager features a Rotax 912 ULS engine, Garmin AXIS flight display avionics, and an integral ballistic parachute system, with a 2026 base price of €240,000.

Epic Flight Academy signed a purchase agreement as the aircraft's launch customer, committing to up to 50 Voyager aircraft. The deal includes 10 initial deliveries beginning in 2027, with options for another 40 planes through 2029. These aircraft will supplement the academy's current fleet of Cessna Skyhawks.

Textron Aviation executives described the aircraft as a leader in innovation and access due to the shift in certification regulations. The academy's leadership stated that the new platform expands training capacity while lowering operating costs for the next generation of professional pilots.
