Peter Obi Reconciles With Supporter Isaac Fayose in Abuja

Presidential candidate Peter Obi reconciled with businessman Isaac Fayose on July 18, 2026, after a period of public tension. The conflict began when Fayose claimed Obi showed ingratitude for his personal sacrifices during the 2023 presidential campaign, an issue exacerbated by a viral video of Fayose praying with Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu.

Following a telephone conversation where Obi offered condolences regarding Fayose's wife, Fayose announced via Facebook that he remained "one million percent Obidient." Obi subsequently visited Fayose at his residence in Abuja to solidify the reconciliation.
