Wella Company Files for New York Stock Exchange IPO

Wella Company filed for an initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange to trade under the symbol WELA.

Wella Company, the owner of OPI nail polish and Wella hair products, filed for an initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange on Monday. The company intends to trade under the ticker symbol WELA.

KKR, a global investment firm that acquired a 60% stake in Wella from Coty in 2020, is serving as an underwriter for the offering. Other underwriters include Goldman Sachs, BofA Securities, and J.P. Morgan. The filing follows reports from earlier this year that the firm had been coordinating with investment banks to prepare for its entry into public markets.

Wella currently operates in more than 100 countries and employs over 6,000 people.
