Israeli Forces Demolish Home and Water Well in Yatta

Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian home and filled in a water well in the Bedouin community of Yatta, leaving nine people homeless.

Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian residence and filled in a water well on Tuesday in the Bedouin community of Yatta, located south of Hebron. The demolished home belonged to Ibrahim Mufleh Al-Atemin and housed nine people, all of whom were left homeless by the operation.

During the action, troops also filled in a 180-cubic-meter water well belonging to Hashem Ibrahim Al-Atemin. This marked the second time the well had been filled. Residents of the community expressed surprise at the timing of the demolitions, noting that they had filed appeals with the courts to halt dozens of demolition notices issued in the area.

The Supreme Court of Israel rejected those appeals, leading to the current enforcement. The court's decision has increased concerns among the local population regarding the possibility of further sudden demolitions within the community.
