Lunar Co-Founders Raise €8.2 Million for AI Audit Startup
Repodo founders raised €8.2 million in pre-seed funding to launch an AI-powered auditing firm targeting small and medium-sized companies in Denmark and Europe.
The co-founders of the Danish digital bank Lunar have raised €8.2 million in a pre-seed funding round to launch Repodo, an artificial intelligence-powered auditing firm. The investment round was led by Hedosophia and SEEDS Capital Pte. Ltd.
Repodo aims to automate manual processes within the auditing industry. Co-founder Ken Villum Klausen noted that while accounting and payroll systems have become AI-native over recent years, the audit sector has lacked a real alternative. He described the current timing for such a venture as absolutely ideal.
Led by Klausen, Peter Andreasen, Joachim Strojer Hansen, and auditor Anders Houmann, the startup will initially provide services to small and medium-sized companies in Denmark. The company plans to expand its operations across Europe following its initial launch.
