SpaceX Launches 29 Starlink Satellites from Florida

Space Exploration Technologies Corp. launched 29 Starlink broadband satellites into low Earth orbit on August 11, 2026. A Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida at 11:58 a.m. EDT.

The mission utilized booster B1085 for its 18th flight. The first stage successfully landed on the droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean approximately 8.5 minutes after liftoff.

This mission marked the 93rd Falcon 9 launch of the year, with 72 of those flights dedicated to the Starlink constellation. The company aims to eventually operate 100,000 Starlink V3 satellites. CEO Elon Musk has expressed further ambitions to launch one million AI data center satellites into orbit.
