Hilton Worldwide to Open 11 Spark Hotels Across UK

Hilton Worldwide signed strategic agreements to open 11 new Spark by Hilton hotels across the United Kingdom, adding over 720 rooms to its development pipeline. The expansion includes a landmark deal with AG Hotels Group to open 10 properties between late 2026 and 2028, adding 672 rooms across England and Wales. These hotels will be located in Cardiff, Coventry, Derby, Doncaster, Hull, Peterborough, Runcorn, Sunderland, Wakefield, and Washington, with sites positioned near transport hubs and industrial centers.

The agreement with AG Hotels Group marks the Spark brand's debut in Wales. In a separate deal, Hilton Worldwide partnered with SMAR Hotels Ltd to open a 53-room property in Dunfermline by late 2026, marking the brand's first entry into Scotland following a full refurbishment of the site.

Launched in 2023 as a premium economy offering, Spark by Hilton utilizes a conversion-friendly model to reposition existing hotels. The brand currently operates over 275 hotels globally with more than 200 others in development. Paul Blackmore, Vice President of Development for UK and Ireland, stated that the new signings demonstrate the strength of demand for the brand's value proposition.
