Portillo's Reports Q2 Revenue Growth and New Expansion Plans

Portillo's Inc. grew second quarter revenue to $199 million while announcing new airport and downtown Chicago locations to drive long-term profitable growth.

Portillo's Inc. reported second quarter total revenue of $199 million, a 5.6% increase over the previous year. Despite this growth, the company saw a decline in net income, which fell by $2.9 million to $7.2 million, and a slight decrease in adjusted EBITDA to $29.8 million.

To stimulate future growth, the restaurant chain opened its first airport location at Dallas-Fort Worth International and plans to launch its first inline restaurant in downtown Chicago later this year. For the 2026 fiscal outlook, the company projects an adjusted EBITDA between $92 million and $96 million, with a restaurant-level adjusted EBITDA margin of 19.5% to 20.5%.

CEO Brett Patterson noted that the company is using recent brand and consumer research to shape a long-term strategy focused on sustainable, profitable growth. Patterson described the second quarter as having resilient underlying sales performance despite difficult promotional comparisons.
