Israeli Forces Issue Demolition and Eviction Orders Across West Bank

The Israeli army and government authorities issued a series of eviction and demolition orders targeting Palestinian homes and structures across East Jerusalem and the West Bank on July 19, 2026. In the town of Kafr Aqab, north of East Jerusalem, the military delivered 22 eviction and demolition notices, giving homeowners one week to vacate. This follows previous orders to halt construction on approximately 20 other homes in the area.

In the West Bank, Israeli forces issued stop-work and construction orders for structures in eastern Jenin near the Kadim settlement. In Arraba, south of Jenin, Palestinian farmers dismantled their own greenhouse to avoid a demolition order that would have cost them nearly 120,000 shekels. Additionally, Israeli forces placed concrete blocks in the Khneideq area to prepare for a military gate, which Palestinian sources say blocks farming access.

These administrative measures occurred alongside violent settler activity. In Tuwana, Masafer Yatta, settlers from the Havat Ma'on outpost torched a mosque and two homes. The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs described the attack on the mosque as "a fully-fledged act of terrorism". Separately, four Palestinians were injured during attacks in Beita, Nablus. Human rights organizations state these coordinated actions serve to fragment Palestinian communities and consolidate Israeli control over Area C of the occupied West Bank.
