Meta Launches Muse AI Agent with Task Automation
Meta Platforms Incorporated released Muse, an AI agent that automates personal tasks and allows adult interactions for verified users.
Meta Platforms Incorporated launched Muse, a personal AI agent designed to automate mundane activities including booking travel, paying bills, and monitoring flight prices. The company recently expanded the service with Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, which utilize Active Memory to enhance personalization and task handling for subscribers.
While designed for productivity, some users have developed emotional and romantic attachments to the agent. Meta permits romantic and sexually explicit interactions for users aged 18 and older, verifying age through birth dates, credit cards, or linked Facebook and Instagram accounts. To protect privacy during these interactions, the company uses a secure virtual machine to isolate user data.
Privacy issues surfaced on October 20, 2026, after researchers found more than 6,800 Muse sharing links in public DNS records. Meta responded by temporarily suspending the sharing feature. The company also uses Muse conversations to train its AI models, although an opt-out mechanism is available for users.
