Threads Launches Foldable Layout for iPhone Duo

Threads is launching a foldable-optimized layout for the iPhone Duo to increase the amount of conversation visible on screen. Christopher Clare, the head of design for the platform, announced that the iOS update will arrive on October 23, 2026.

Beyond the iOS launch, the platform is refining the Android foldable experience. These updates involve adjusting buttons and interface elements to fit wider screens specifically, rather than simply stretching the existing layout. The company is also introducing a new blue color for links as part of broader design updates.
