BJP Accuses Sanjay Raut of Using AI to Fake Audio
The BJP claims Sanjay Raut used AI to fabricate an audio clip alleging a 500 crore rupee payout to Maratha activist Manoj Jarange.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut of using artificial intelligence to fabricate an audio clip alleging that BJP functionaries paid 500 crore rupees to Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange. The recording, released by Jarange, features a woman claiming the funds were delivered via MP Shrikant Shinde to silence the Maratha reservation movement and counter Jarange's influence in the Marathwada region.
BJP spokesperson Navnath Ban alleged that Raut orchestrated the conspiracy from a war room in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, as part of a contract from Rahul Gandhi to defame the party. Raut denied these claims, asserting that the clip was leaked by a BJP Member of the Legislative Council (MLC). He characterized the leak as a result of a cold war and cut-throat competition between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Manoj Jarange denied receiving any money and demanded an impartial Special Investigation Team inquiry. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered a forensic examination of the audio clip to determine its authenticity.
