Texas Representative Requests DOJ Probe Into Voter Bribery Allegations

Texas Representative Pat Fallon has requested a formal Department of Justice investigation into Texas Majority PAC and a company called Relentless following allegations of voter bribery. The request follows an undercover video obtained by Townhall in which Sky McAdams, then the organizing manager for Texas Majority PAC, described a program paying individuals $25 to attend Zoom classes as a "roundabout way of paying people for their votes" to benefit Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico.

Financial disclosures indicate Texas Majority PAC paid Relentless $500,000 for a "paid relational program" designed to mobilize low-propensity voters. In the video, McAdams stated the classes taught participants why voting is important and why Republicans were causing "bad things."

Texas Majority PAC subsequently fired McAdams, labeling him a "rogue employee" and asserting that his description of the program was "factually incorrect." A spokesperson for the PAC maintained that participants were paid for grassroots organizing work rather than for their votes. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a Republican opponent of Talarico, condemned the scheme as an attempt to bribe voters, stating that "Texans aren't for sale."
